For those who are just meeting me, I'm Sheppora "Ty" White. I am the daughter of the late Nathaniel White, granddaughter of the late Viola Sumrell White and John H. White. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  My father, Nate, was a former Marine yet also pursued a career in acting out in Hollywood. Blissfully, he did grace both Stage & Screen.  At 5'7" (I'm 5'10") and 170lbs, my Daddie was determined. He was skilled in Judo, baseball, karate, fencing, boxing, swimming, track, shooting and skating. I'm just like him! I'll get the job done.

Life has its way with us, so sadly, Nate passed at an early age. Unfortunately, this was not the first child my grandmother Viola had lost (RIP Uncle William). This, however, was the first that children were left behind to mourn. By God's Grace, aunt Viola Holden, living in Los Angeles at the time, stepped in in her brother's absence. My own brother, Roderic, passed October 2020 and again my aunts, uncles and cousins have supported me. So here we are, I accepted the nomination as corresponding secretary as my way of giving back and to say, 'Thank You'- as well as honor my dad and big bro.
